Biography
|
Early in his career, Neil Wolfe was signed to Columbia Records where he recorded three solo albums with full orchestra produced by Teo macero and arranged and conducted by Peter Matz.
|
He has performed many concert tours with Columbia Artists. His television appearances have included the Tonight Show with Johnnie Carson and PBS (The Boston Pops). His compositions have spanned the worlds of musical theater and pop songs with performances by the Boston Pops, the Chinese Symphony at Lincoln Center and other noteworthy orchestras. His musical theater compositions include BIRTHDAY: THE FRANKENSTEIN MUSICAL which had its premier at the Deep Ellum Theater in Dallas, Texas and INTIMATE STRANGERS, which premiered at the Long Beach Light Opera Company in California.

He has performed in concert with Barbra Streisand. Barbra recorded his song "All That I Want" on her album
MY NAME IS BARBRA: II.
Columbia Records produced a special tribute album for Barbra Streisand, featuring Neil playing her best known songs. Barbra described Neil as "one of the most exciting pianist-composers I have ever met" in her liner notes for the project.
